BBC Tour of Broadcasting House (London) Age 9+
Experience the BBC’s brand new multimedia broadcasting centre in the heart of London. Get a camera’s eye view via our big screen into some of the studios broadcasting to the nation such as the Six O’Clock News and Radio 1, as well as hearing about the rich history of the building and the BBC. You’ll see the new state of the art newsroom and have a chance to reading the news and weather on the interactive news set! Learn how BBC Radio Drama is made and have a go at making your very own radio play complete with music and sound effects! Production schedules permitting, you may get the chance to peek into the newly restored Radio Theatre where Radio 2 concerts and popular radio comedy shows such as Just a Minute, the News Quiz and The Now Show have recently been recorded.

The BBC’s new home in the North of England is one of the most ambitious projects in the BBC’s history. The doors are now open so you can take a peek behind the scenes. It is now home to several BBC channels and programmes including Match Of The Day, Dragons’ Den, Blue Peter, BBC Breakfast, Radio 5 Live and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, to name just a few.
CBBC Tour at MediaCityUK (Salford) Age 6+
Children aged between 6 years and 11 years will love the brand new CBBC Interactive Tour at MediaCityUK. MediaCityUK is the brand new home for CBBC. This is where many popular CBBC programmes are made, including Blue Peter and Newsround. You will be able to have a go at being a CBBC presenter or find out how it feels to present the news and weather. As well as all the interactivity, you will discover what goes on behind the scenes! For children aged 6 to 11 – see the home of programmes such as Blue Peter and Newsround.
