Immerse yourself in a world of romance and flamboyant Regency society on our walking Jane Austen tour of Bath.
The Roman city of Bath is world famous for its beautiful architecture and rich history and of course as a setting for Jane Austens novels and screen productions. The city offers a perfect backdrop for those who wish to follow in the footsteps of Jane Austen with sites including the Assembly Rooms, Pump Room, stunning Georgian architecture and the Jane Austen Centre.
This tour escorts Jane Austen fans on a trip to discover film locations that you will remember from small and big screen adaptations as well as places which inspired Jane Austen herself. Focusing on the experiences of Anne Elliot (Persuasion) and Catherine Morland (Northanger Abbey) you will get to trace the steps of these two heroines.
You’ll see where the carriage race scene from Northanger Abbey was filmed, the final romantic reunion of Anne and Captain Wentworth from Persuasion (2007), Jane Austens house and much much more.
On the Jane Austen walking tour you’ll get insight into how the productions were made and with the aid of colour stills see how the filming locations compare to the actual places.
