1. What is a Movie Tour?
Our fabulous movie tours feature live commentary by a professional, friendly and knowledge local guide giving you behind the scenes information, trivia about your favourite films, directors and actors and allowing you to experience the magic of real life film sets. You’ll see clips from real movies or TV shows on our DVD screen while you pass by the actual location. Feel free to come along dressed as a movie character (purely optional). Our mini coach tours will have no more than 15 people on a trip so you don’t feel like just another number being herded around.
2. Do I have to book in advance?
Yes, as there are only a limited number of seats on each tour so we recommend you book in advance as we cannot guarantee seats to be available when you arrive.
3. Are my credit card / debit card details safe?
Yes. Your payment details are taken through a secure server. Payment for our tours is made via DataCash who are an industry leading secure connection that provides state of the art anti-fraud technology to protect you. Brit Movie Tours does not store or hold any of your card information.
4. Do you post tickets?
No. If you pre-book online or by phone you will receive a confirmation email. This allows you to go on our pre-booked guest list, which in turn allows for a hassle-free registration. All you need to do is print out your email confirmation and bring it with you as it also contains important details on how to find the meeting point. This makes the whole process simple and stress free.
5. Where do we board the vehicle?
Meet your tour guide at the meeting point specified on your email ticket confirmation. Try to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the stated time to ensure there are no delays in the departure of the bus. Once all members of the tour group have arrived you will be taken to the vehicle where the tour will start. When you receive your email booking confirmation, details will be made clear on this.
6. How often do the tours run?
See the individual tour pages for further details. However, as general rule of thumb, we operate tours seasonally and according to demand.
7. Do we have a tour guide?
Yes. Every tour is guided by our expert staff who have their own sense of style and delivery.
8. Is there an age requirement on the tours?
On most of the tours there is no age requirement, however for the Atonement tour, due to the nature of the film and the length of the tour it is not suitable for children. Full day tours up to 10 hours long may be unsuitable for infants and very young children.
9. Do the vehicles have disabled access?
The vehicles we use are not designed for disabled access, though we do have space to store walkers, buggies and collapsible wheelchairs. However, we are very happy to arrange tours for anyone with impaired mobility subject to advance notice and exact requirements.
10. Can I give feedback about the tour?
We welcome your feedback. If you wish to send in a thank you note or give feedback about a tour or any dealings with Brit Movie Tours please contact us. If for some unlikely reason you are unhappy about an aspect of the tour you must submit your letter within 14 days of the tour. We will endeavour to reply within 7 days from receiving such a letter and ensure the matter is resolved satisfactorily.
11. I’m not a big movie fan. Will I still like the tours?
We believe these tours are a great way to see London and the rest of Britain, even if you are not a movie fan. And, we think you may be surprised by what locations you do recognise . The tours will not only take you to movie locations, but also weave their way through famous landmarks and fascinating areas.
12. I am a big movie fan. How can I become a tour guide?
Brit Movie Tours is always looking for enthusiastic people to provide the best tour experience possible. If you are a movie buff, have a passion for history, are energetic and can entertain a group of tour guests, email us your up-to-date CV with a short explanation as to why you think you could be suitable as a tour guide.
13. Should I tip the guide or driver after the tour?
In the UK tips are not required, however any donations are gratefully received!
14. How do I find out about new tours you launch?
We will be launching new tours regularly from 2010. To keep up-to-date sign up to our free newsletter.
