Tour Guide Jobs - London, Cardiff, Liverpool

We have a limited number of part-time tour guide jobs in London, Cardiff and Liverpool for well-presented, articulate actors and experienced tour guides who can provide an entertaining and informative commentary to customers on our TV and movie themed bus and walking tours in London, Cardiff and Liverpool.

Essential skills required:

  • Previous tour guide experience
  • A clear speaking voice in English
  • First class communicator
  • A good general knowledge of history of the area you wish to be a tour guide in e.g. London, and a real passion for Film and TV
  • Excellent customer care and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to gain a rapid understanding of a tour route (i.e. about movie and TV history / trivia, places, landmarks)
  • Good presentation, time-keeping and ability to work under pressure.
  • Motivated, energetic and comfortable keeping a potentially large group of people entertained and happy for between 2-10 hours depending on the tour
  • Comfortable with responding to spontaneous changes in tours e.g. traffic delays, accidents etc and keeping the tour guests happy
  • Can learn and retain information provided by a script and also from own research

Preferable skills / experience

  • Native speaker of foreign languages including French, German, Spanish, Russian or Japanese
  • Have interesting anecdotes about working in film and TV

Guides must be willing to work on weekends and school holidays on an ad-hoc freelance basis.

  • Excellent customer care and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to gain a rapid understanding of a tour route (i.e. Doctor Who history / trivia, places, landmarks)
  • Good presentation, time-keeping and ability to work under pressure.

Customer Services Representative Jobs

We have a limited number of part-time, home based Customer Service Representative positions. Candidates must have their own land line. Preference would be given to candidates based in or near to London.

Job Tasks:

  • To handle day to day enquiries from customers providing excellent customer service.
  • To ensure that the telephones are open to both internal and external callers between 9.00 am and 5.30 pm Monday to Friday
  • Communicating courteously with customers by telephone and email providing assistance and advice when making a booking.
  • Ensure that all tours are correctly booked including transportation, entry fees, guides, accommodation (when required). Entering all the details into spreadsheets and communicating details with guides
  • Regional Tour Guides and transport companies as appropriate.
  • Developing and overseeing shared documents and planning systems. Manage and maintain records, spreadsheets and databases
  • Developing customer service procedures, policies and standards for the organization
  • Liaising with Director/s on regular basis to discuss possible improvements to customer service.
  • Provide support in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter and other social media, posting on relevant blogs. Become an advocate of the Company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
  • Liaise with Director to maintain the pricing, availability and general appearance of the company’s products.
  • To ensure that all sections of the website are kept up to date.
  • Learning about company products or services and keeping up to date with changes;
  • Training other administration staff as and when necessary
  • To answer all emails in a timely fashion and complete all outstanding tasks every day

Take an Internship Role

  • Minimum term for Internship roles are 4 months
  • Provide support in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter and other social media, posting on relevant blogs. Become an advocate of the Company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
  • Undertaking photography and video footage of our tours, editing them to a professional standard and sharing on social media
  • Update product guide as well as admin guide
  • Research where location filming is taking place
  • Carry out other research duties
  • Perform Other ad hoc duties
