This tour is ideal for anyone looking for a behind the scenes experience of a world famous broadcaster and film locations. The tour will take you into the heart of the BBC and give you an insight into TV and Radio broadcasting. Then the tour is followed by an on-location tour visiting famous film and TV sites in central London.
Experience the BBC’s brand new multimedia broadcasting centre in the heart of London. Get a camera’s eye view via our big screen into some of the studios broadcasting to the nation such as the Six O’Clock News and Radio 1, as well as hearing about the rich history of the building and the BBC.
You’ll see the new state of the art newsroom and have a chance to read the news and weather on the interactive news set! Learn how BBC Radio Drama is made and have a go at making your very own radio play complete with music and sound effects!
Production schedules permitting, you may get the chance to peek into the newly restored Radio Theatre where Radio 2 concerts and popular radio comedy shows such as Just a Minute, the News Quiz and The Now Show have been recorded.
