Take a tour fit for a Queen as you follow in the footsteps of Jenna Coleman’s Queen Victoria.
Departing and returning from Leeds and journeying into the breath-taking Yorkshire countryside, explore some of the UK’s most stunning countryside and country houses just outside Leeds.
This 9 hour tour takes in some of the grandest Yorkshire houses, all of which have doubled as Buckingham or Kensington Palace.
This 9-hour tour explores 5 filming locations from the first two series of the hit ITV drama. Sites visited include Beverly Minster, the largest parish church in the UK that doubles as Westminster Abbey as well as Harewood House which stands in for Buckingham Palace.
Harewood House is home to the Earl of Harewood, David Lascelles and was the great, great, great grandson to the real Queen Victoria! Queen Victoria even stayed at Harewood House in 1835 and you can see items that were owned by Queen Victoria and her lady in waiting. Filming took place in the State Rooms, below stairs and on the estate. Areas were transformed to create many different locations, including scenes set at Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace.
The tour also visits Castle Howard, which as well as standing in for Kensington Palace in Victoria, also starred in “Brideshead Revisited” and the BBC’s 2013 adaption of “Death Comes to Pemberley”
You will have plenty of opportunity to see both locations as part of the day tour and be taken back to Leeds by the early evening.
