Hercule Poirot is Agatha Christie’s greatest creation and one of the most famous detectives in all fiction. Although Belgian by birth Hercule poirot made London his home and its here where many of his famous cases were set.
The Belgian detective appeared in 33 novels and 65 short stories and is famed for his unique mustache and his saying “little grey cells”.
On this 3 hour private Poirot tour in a traditional London Black Taxi you will uncover where many of these great stories took place, learn about the great detective and how his character was created and be able to immerse yourself into the world of Hercule Poirot with your expert guide.
Poirot has been portrayed on radio, in film and on television by various actors most notably, David Suchet and its these episodes which were filmed from 1989 to 2013 that we will be focusing on. Visiting areas including Bloomsbury, Fitzrovia, the City of London and more you will also get a chance to see how varied the locations were that were used in filming.
There will be lots of chances to get out of the taxi and take pictures up close at the sites that have featured in Poirot’s adventures.
Do note that there will be some walking involved in the Poirot tour, so make sure you bring comfortable shoes and dress for all seasons.
