Lake District Tour of Beatrix Potter Locations
Come and join the Lake District Tour of Beatrix Potter Locations.
Take a scenic and magical journey around the picturesque National Park.
See the dramatic panoramas that inspired Beatrix Potter as well as the locations from the 2006 movie Miss Potter, much of which was filmed in the North West of England.
With the locations scattered across the Lake District National Park you’ll get to see many places linked with Beatrix Potter including Hill Top Farm, Hawkshead village, the Beatrix Potter Gallery, Wray Castle, the historic house at Brockhole and the lakes of Esthwaite Water, Windermere and Coniston Water.
At Yew Tree Farm you will take a typical Cumbrian cream tea and, on a guided farm tour, meet the appealing breeds of sheep and cattle that Beatrix Potter devoted her later life to.
On the Lake District Tour of Beatrix Potter Locations you’ll learn about the life of Beatrix Potter, the characters and the sources of these inspirations. You’ll see how this magic was brought to the big screen in the 2006 film with Renee Zellweger and learn about many other fascinating aspects of the Lake District National Park.
Along the way you’ll have the chance to get off the bus on many occasions, stretch your legs, take pictures and see the locations up close. Please note that as there will be walking involved in the tour it may not be suitable for those with mobility or health problems.
The tour will be led a qualified blue badge guide who is an expert on Beatrix Potter and who also will be on hand to provide a thoroughly enjoyable day. The Lake District Tour of Beatrix Potter Locations will drop you back at Windermere Railway Station or Bowness on Windermere Lake Cruises Pier 1. FAQs
