About This Tour

  • Tour description

Travel across time and space on a private Doctor Who London Taxi Tour exploring many of the locations used throughout the series’ sixty-year history. With your own driver and expert guide, this tour allows you to see a wide range of filming locations across the capital while hearing fascinating stories about the production of the world’s longest-running science fiction series.

Since the Doctor first appeared on television in 1963, London has played an important role in the show, appearing as the setting for alien invasions, secret organisations, parallel universes and countless adventures involving the Doctor and their companions.

Travelling by taxi allows you to visit a greater number of locations than on a walking tour, covering several different parts of London that have appeared on screen. During the tour your guide will share behind-the-scenes stories about filming, explain how certain scenes were created and reveal how everyday streets were transformed into dramatic settings in the Whoniverse.

You will explore places connected to both classic and modern Doctor Who, including locations used during famous Dalek battles, riverside areas where the TARDIS materialises, and landmarks that have appeared during major alien invasions. Along the way you will also discover how London’s most recognisable landmarks have been used to instantly signal that the Doctor has arrived on Earth’s capital city.

There will be several opportunities to get out of the taxi, stretch your legs, take photographs and recreate moments from your favourite episodes. The tour lasts around three to three and a half hours and finishes back at your hotel or another central London location of your choice.

Optional Add-On: Visit the Doctor Who Shop in East Ham

For the ultimate Whovian experience, you can enhance your tour with an exclusive add-on trip to the Doctor Who Shop in East Ham. This legendary store, the longest-running of its kind, is a treasure trove of Doctor Who memorabilia, collectibles, and exclusive merchandise. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the museum in the shop’s basement, showcasing rare props, costumes, and artifacts from the series.

Whether you’re a lifelong fan or a newcomer to the world of Doctor Who, this VIP Doctor Who London Taxi Tour offers a unique and immersive way to relive some of the show’s most thrilling moments. With behind-the-scenes stories, iconic filming locations, and the optional visit to the Doctor Who Shop, this tour is a must for anyone who wants to step into the world of the Time Lord himself.
