About This Tour

  • Tour description

    Experience 18th Century Scotland

Embark on an immersive Outlander Tour that takes you back to 18th century Scotland, departing directly from central Edinburgh. This day tour, inspired by the popular TV series Outlander, which first aired in 2014 and is based on Diana Gabaldon’s historical novels, allows you to explore iconic sites from all seven seasons.

Explore Outlander Filming Locations in Scotland

Although the novels set their scenes in the Scottish Highlands, many filming locations are conveniently located near Edinburgh. Thus, this day-long Outlander tour in Scotland lets you experience these famous sites, including some seen on the Royal Mile, without straying far from the Scottish capital. Along the way, you’ll even have the chance to visit the legendary Loch Ness, adding another layer of adventure to your journey.

    Guided by Experts

Your local guide, an enthusiastic fan of both the books and the TV series, will offer engaging commentary on the Outlander narrative. Furthermore, they will highlight how the books differ from reality while recounting fascinating tales of local legend and history, including stories about Jamie and Claire, the iconic couple from the series.
