For many fans, entering Winterfell Great Hall is a dream come true. Stand on the flagstones and feel the awe of this iconic Game of Thrones set. You will also visit the Night’s Watch headquarters at Castle Black, the military order tasked with holding the Wall. Winterfell, where Jon Snow was raised as the illegitimate son of Eddard Stark, became his home and the place where his journey from boyhood to Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, and later, to King in the North, began.
The Hall of Faces has been recreated, sending a tingle down your spine as you see where the show’s actors became household names.
Game of Thrones wouldn’t have been the same without the incredible visual effects used to bring epic battles and scenes to life. During the Studio Tour, you will learn about the fire-breathing dragons and mind-blowing stunts that brought the show to life.
Green screens helped create many of the show’s most amazing scenes. You can even test your acting skills with an interactive screen experience!
See the impressive armory and the craftsmen who brought these battle items to life. Unique props such as dragon eggs, drinking horns, and Jon Snow’s winter furs will be on display.
Your next stop is the Dark Hedges, with its natural archway of intertwined trees. This road, one of Northern Ireland’s most photographed locations, is where Arya Stark dressed as a boy to escape from King’s Landing. Pose for pictures before heading to lunch.
Lunch will be at a pub in Ballymoney. You’re welcome to bring your own lunch, and there will be places along the way to purchase hot and cold food.
Departing from central Belfast, you will head north along the scenic Antrim coast to see the UNESCO-listed Giant’s Causeway. Although not featured in Game of Thrones, this spectacular site is a must-see, and you’ll have approximately 1 ½ hours to explore.
The journey back to Belfast includes a final stop at Dunluce Castle, the 17th-century ruins used as the exterior of the House of Greyjoy on the show. Pose for pictures, then return to Belfast, where you will be dropped back at the city center.
